There's so many Resins out there that it gets confusing how each one works! We made this cheat sheet that is only for Faux Rizzle Resins!
Don’t: Leave your epoxy in the container past the 3 minute mark! Right after you've finished mixing your epoxy, pour it out of the bucket. Pouring it out immediately when you're done mixing it is the best way to ensure it doesn't set up and that you have the full 45 minutes of working time!
Don’t: Warm your epoxy before using it!Instead when removing bubbles use a propane torch or 91% isopropyl alcohol sprayed on the surface. Please note it isn’t safe to torch a surface with alcohol on it!
Don’t: underestimate product amount! Not putting enough epoxy on your surface will result in dimples or fisheyes over your surface. Having extra epoxy is never a bad thing!
Don’t: ignore the temperature of the room you’re working in! Making sure the room temperature is between 70-75 degrees Fahrenheit will give you optimal working time and allow your epoxy to properly cure.
Do: Take your time mixing! Mixing too fast will incorporate many micro bubbles in your epoxy it (giving it a cloudy look torch/alcohol may not be able to remove the bubbles if it's over mixed).
Do: measure everything! Making sure you have enough of each part when mixing your epoxy is vital to a proper cure. Too much Part A or Part B can cause an improper cure! Make sure you know what ratio for the product you’re using!
Do: Practice, practice, practice! Making sure you know what you’re doing and how to handle the epoxy is step one to creating an amazing project! Make sample boards, try different color combos!
